Hare
— collection
Hare is joy in Albanian. The name is accurate. The design divides the rug surface into territories — each one a different color, a different register — and then ignores the borders it just drew. Shapes cross, interlace, interrupt each other. A piece that takes the rules of rug composition seriously enough to play with them.
The hierarchy shifts within a single rug: some subdivisions lead, others follow, some refuse to be contained. The result is a surface that moves without being chaotic — joyful, which is a specific and underrated quality in an object built to last a century.
The fringe is hidden on the reverse face, consistent with the logic of the digital design. The rug has one correct face — the side where the interlacing reads.
