Large, quiet fields of color. The design steps back so the material can speak. Bllok rugs are woven with a thicker warp thread at a lower warping density — a double-scale texture that makes the structure of the making visible at the surface. The color is there, but the texture is the point.
The border is finished with a special textured treatment and a closing embroidered row — a clean edge on all four sides. Both faces are usable. Switching the rug periodically is not just practical — it distributes the sun exposure evenly across the surface, which extends the piece’s life significantly.
Clean border on all four sides. Both faces are finished to the same standard and are equally usable. Recommended to switch sides periodically to protect from uneven sun exposure.
